As designers, we recognise it is of upmost importance to a adopt a user-centric approach when creating medical devices. We actively collaborate with healthcare professionals when designing medical devices to collate ideas and ensure products are user-friendly and feasible. We recently ran a series of focus groups for Midwives, over several months, to inform the design of a new neo-natal medical device. These groups support us in reducing device complexity, and improving reliability, patient experience, and overall performance.
